Rusper still has much old world atmosphere.
The village school is new compared with most buildings and it was erected well over a century ago.
The lovely Church of St Mary Magdelene has parts which date back to the 13th century.
The short High Street is dotted with black and white half-timbered buildings.
The Plough Inn opposite the church has stood there for well over three centuries. The Star Inn is said to be 200 years older.
A population of 1505 live on 2000 hectares.
