Cowfold village is of Saxon origin and lies mid-way between Horsham and the downs at the junction of the A281 and the A272.
In the centre of the village is the late 13th century St Peter`s church, and in it is claimed to be the largest and the finest brass in Sussex.
Beside the church is the picturesque St Peter`s cottage, now a restaurant/tea house.
A population of 1,681 lives in an area of about 2000 hectares
